Roemmele and the actor have kept a relatively low profile when it comes to their relationship. They were seen together for the first time in 2017, but they are rarely together at public events, and they don’t often talk about their relationship.

The two made their social media debut in December 2020, when Grenier posted a photo of himself on Instagram with Roemmele in the background. In the caption he wrote: “In peace these days.”

Roemmele has appeared on Greiner’s Instagram here and there since then, but they’ve mostly kept their relationship private.

She’s going to acupuncture school

Roemmele and Grenier moved to a farm in Austin, Texas in August 2020. She posted a photo on Instagram of herself with Grenier in the background a year after the move with the caption, “It’s been almost a year since moving to Austin, and what a wild ride the ride was. I am incredibly grateful to my intuition which fully supports me and brought me HOME.”

Grenier also spoke with City lifestyle about their decision to move. “When I decided I wanted to settle down in Texas, I knew I wanted a partner who would live that experience with me, and that’s where Jordan came in,” he explained. “We have a long history and I said ‘I’m in love, and if you are, I want to build something together.’ Fortunately, she was interested. We agreed on the terms and decided that we will get some land.”

Grenier and Roemmele plan to start a wildlife sanctuary together

In Grenier’s interview with City lifestyle also discussed the plans the couple has for the future in Austin. “Our intention is to create a haven for wildlife, with elements that will give wildlife respite – food for bees and butterflies, bird boxes for migratory birds,” he said. “We’ll have llamas or alpacas, maybe some goats—not to raise livestock, but to maintain the grass, our live mowers, and to create fertilizer for the farm’s nutrients, the compost. We would love to create food to eat, give it to our neighbors and sell it.”

According to her Instagram, Roemmele is equally passionate about animals. She posted a selfie with one of the animals on her farm and told her story, writing, “This chicken was attacked by a raccoon a few days ago. She got a pretty deep wound on her neck. After medical care and isolation, she returns with the other survivors and I hope she succeeds 🤞🏼 Being a mother hen is a challenge, every loss hits me hard. Death is inevitable and creative in its expression, but I still love my little dinosaurs.”

They escaped while on vacation with friends

Roemmele and Grenier were on vacation in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco when they decided it would be the perfect time and place to get married. “It wasn’t planned,” the They drive me crazy the star told PEOPLE exclusively at the time. “We embraced the serendipity of the moment and made the decision to get married—literally, we didn’t have rings so we used string for rings.”

Grenier’s friend RY X “got on his cell phone for dinner — good thing we had wifi — to officiate the wedding, and then sang beautifully afterward,” he added to PEOPLE.

It was a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by flower petals, candles and mountains. The couple matched in all-white outfits, and their guests sat comfortably together on blankets.

“We were with a group of amazing friends, who all immediately rallied behind us and embraced the spontaneity of the moment,” Grenier said. “They put so much love and effort into making a wedding out of thin air.”

They had their first child in June 2023

Grenier and Roemmele became parents for the first time in June 2023 when their son Seiko Aurelius Grenier was born.

“We are happy to announce the arrival of our son who was born a few weeks ago,” the new mom on Instagram. “In a moment… Our hearts have expanded beyond infinite space. Now we cultivate our world to preserve its innocence, its magic, and leave enough quiet space to hear and encourage its roar.”

In 2024, Grenier opened up about the life of a father of one while appearing on Today with Hoda and Jenna.

“I flew high for a lot of years, two decades in Hollywood and growing up in New York, and now I live a much more down-to-earth lifestyle,” he said. “I have decided that I will live closer to nature and devote myself to my wife, have a family and a child, which I am very excited about.”

The actor added: “My little boy was in the dirt this morning and my wife sent a picture. And not only do you learn so much — there’s a lot of mental health challenges in our world and I think it’s our disconnection from the earth — but my son also learns a lot about the natural biome; the bacteria it gets and the immune information it gets are so important to its health.”
