- After her brother’s death, she received support from Mr. Michael Buklaba, a choir teacher in Desert Hot Springs, who taught students to sing in French, Hebrew and Japanese. Through Buklaba, she became interested in music and wanted to sing in a choir. This helped her get through the difficult times. She said,
I have always relied on music since I was a child. A series of challenges in my childhood led to my interest in singing in a choir – I think it was probably my need to let go of my emotions. ”
- After completing her studies, she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her music teacher, Bukraba, and become a music teacher, which was what she wanted to do most. When she was preparing to enter the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), a UCSB orientation volunteer suggested that she take an introductory acting course because she was interested in art. She decided to give it a try, and during the audition process, she was accepted into the UCSB College of Fine Arts’ Bachelor of Arts in Acting program.
