Norfolk cops reveal cause of death for dad & woman whose bodies were found alongside kids, 7 & 12

POLICE have revealed the cause of death of a father and a woman who were found dead with his two daughters in the house.

The bodies of Bartlomiej Kuczynski (45), his 12-year-old daughter Jasmin and her seven-year-old sister were found on Saturday in Costessey, Norwich.

A 36-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, was also found dead.

On Sunday, police officers confirmed that Mr. Bartlomiej and the woman died from stab wounds to the neck.

The autopsy of the two young girls will be performed on Wednesday, the police added.

It comes after Norfolk Police revealed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Officers also confirmed they had contacted the police superintendent, after they failed to respond to a call to the house earlier that morning.

Police said they received a 999 call from the house shortly before the bodies were found.

Sources confirmed last night that Mr Kuczynski was the man who made the 6am call, to which the police did not send officers.

However, officers were not deployed until a second call from a citizen shortly before 7am.

A security guard was also referred for coming to the home on December 14th in connection with a missing person investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Burgess, who is leading the investigation, said: “Following this latest development, we remain satisfied that no one else was involved in this incident.

“This latest information will only add to the distress and shock felt by members of the local community and that is why we are determined from the outset to conduct detailed and methodical investigations to ensure we fully understand how this incident occurred.

“I would like to thank the community for their support and the many people who called and offered information.

“We are continuing to work on this and will be contacting anyone who has been in contact. A police cordon remains at the scene and we will continue to have a presence in the area tomorrow.”

Locals say the young girls will be remembered as “lovely” and “beautiful”.

Neighbor Jocelyn Atienza said: “They were lovely girls who were a bit shy. We used to see them walking around together.

“They would look very happy when they were out with their friends.

“The older one would take the bus to school, and her little sister would walk to the elementary school by herself.

“Their mother was friendly and we always greeted each other on the street.”

The Sun has outlined our timeline of the tragedy, including the ignored 999 call.
