She completed her education from Lilavatibai Podar High School in Mumbai and then went to Jai Hind College for her graduation. She is a member of the school theater and is actively involved in plays and theater activities. While Nushrat was in college, she went to a talent management company and joined there as a talent scout. Instead, they offered her a role in Zee TV’s Kittie Party. However, long hours and abuse from some colleagues led to her quitting the show within a year. She then worked in theater for a long time before venturing into films.

Nushrat started her career in television commercials with Bollywood actress Asin. In 2016, she made her acting debut in the Bollywood film “Jai Santoshi Maa”, where she played the role of “Mahima”. She was next seen in the film “Kal Kisne Dekha”. She then starred in the film Love Sex Aur Dhokha opposite Rajkummar Rao and Anshum Jha.
She made her Telugu film debut in 2010, playing the role of “Shruthi” in the film “Taj Mahal”. She made her Tamil debut with the 2016 film Vaaliba Raja. In 2011, Nushrat became popular for her role as “Neha” in the Bollywood film “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”.
