AN OAP was turned away from the doctor’s surgery by reception staff who told him he was already dead.
Alan Rocket, 69, was told the records showed he was “deceased” as he tried to re-register at his former practice.

The great-grandfather said the amused employees even “smiled” as they delivered the news.
They then refused to show him his health details – so retired decorator Alan had to go home and return with his passport as proof of ID.
He said: “It was really upsetting.
“Five years ago this month I was diagnosed with bowel cancer.
“I’m in remission now, but I’m still not 100 percent clean.
“Being told I was dead completely shook me.
“I told my daughters and they were upset too. I wasn’t going anywhere so I got my ID, came back and said, ‘Here you go, I’m alive’.”
But the matter was still not settled until staff at Birmingham’s Shenley Green practice finally allowed him to register 24 hours later.
A spokesperson for the practice blamed a “technical issue” with patient records and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
