Smith made his A-list debut for the West Indies U-19 in the 2015 Regional Super50 Championship. He subsequently represented West Indies U-19 at the 2016 World Cup in Bangladesh, although he played only 2 games, scoring a total of 18 runs.

Smith made his IPL debut in 2022 when Kings XI Punjab acquired his services for Rs 6 Cr. He played his first match on March 27, 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kings XI Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl; Odin Smith scored 52 runs in 4 balls with an economy rate of 13, but he saved the ball with 25/8 scores and a strike rate of 312.5 while batting Team. Kings XI Punjab won that match with Odean Smith emerging as man of the match on his T-20 debut.
In the 2022 IPL season, Odin played 6 games. He took 4 wickets in 3 overs against Mumbai Indians and helped the team win the match. In 2023, he was acquired by the Gujarat Titans for Rs 50 Cr.
