Olivia Rodrigo’s New Song ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’ Featured in Hunger Games Prequel 

Olivia Rodrigo’s new song is coming to the big screen!

The three-time Grammy winner, 20, wrote and recorded the song “Can’t Catch Me Now” for the upcoming Lionsgate film, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Lionsgate took over Times Square with a billboard announcement on Wednesday and also broke the news during a special hour-long event streamed live on TikTok.

The celebration was to celebrate the tickets for Hunger Games prequel goes on sale, and Rodrigo is the film’s secret unannounced music artist, according to a press release.

Fans were also treated to a mini-listen to the track, treated to a 60-second clip of the new music.

The fun didn’t end there as cast members Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler and Josh Andrés Rivera were also in attendance.

“With her highly charged lyrics and urgent voice, Olivia Rodrigo gets into it as much as any artist today,” Lawrence, who directed three of the original four Hunger Games movies, added. “She is an absolute thrill to work with and we couldn’t be more excited to have her music be a part of the film.”

“Can’t Catch Me Now” is available for pre-order and is the first track on the 17-track soundtrack. The music will be released on November 17, the same day as the film.

Apart from Rodrigo, Zegler also appears on the soundtrack of several songs.
