One of the largest theme parks in the UK has made a shock decision to close the door permanently after almost 40 years.
Wales’s beloved Oakwood Theme Park announced his sudden closure by accusing “relentless economic challenges.”

The Parkkeshire -based park today made a statement saying: “With a lot of sadness, we have to announce the current closure of the Oakwood theme Park and confirm that the park will not open season 2025.
“After a strategic business review, ASPRO Parks, the owner and operator of the Oakwood theme Park reached this difficult decision because of the challenge that presented the current business environment.
“All possible ways have been explored to avoid closing, and we fully recognize the impact of closing on the local community and the loss that will be felt as a result.”
The statement continued to say that the number of visitors was noticeably declining.
