TIKTOK users are struggling to get their heads around a viral video of a mind-boggling mirror illusion.
People have realised that if you stand in front of a mirror and look down you are still able to see your feet in the reflection, even though the mirror doesn’t reach the floor.

TikTok star Kyliekathleen88 has been flooded with confused comments after her daughter revealed the trick.
One said she had “found a glitch in the matrix”.
While another couldn’t believe it: “Why are you able to see something that’s NOT in the mirror.”
A third gobsmacked user admitted: “For some reason, my brain just cannot wrap my head around this even though people explained.”
If you’ve just tried it yourself and are equally as perplexed, don’t worry, you’re not going mad.
It turns out there is a perfectly logical scientific explanation for this and it’s down to the law of reflection.
“The law of reflection states that when a ray of light reflects off a surface, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection,” according to Physics Classroom.
So basically, it all comes down to the angle you are at and how light from your feet bounces off the mirror.
“It’s like when you see a car in your right side mirror while driving even though it’s not right in front of the mirror,” one commenter explained.
If you’re into optical illusions be sure not to miss this one too, which reveals a colour your computer display is not able to show.
The colour is known as ‘true cyan’.
There is also a so-called ‘super-illusion’ that makes you see things that don’t exist.
The trippy animation appears to show a stickman climbing stairs and jumping, but your eyes are very much deceiving you.
Meanwhile, another of two elephants on a seesaw makes people hear a thud even though the video has no noise.
