Joseph purchased the rifle 4 days before the incident at Cabela’s. Law enforcement also issues surveillance camera images and body camera images from Tuesday.
Omaha police said officers answered a report of an active shooter inside the Target, which is located near 178th Street and West Center Road, around 11:59 a.m.
Target has agreed to assist with returning personal property to shoppers at the store from 2-4 pm tomorrow. The west entrance will be open and you will have to validate your personal property. The store will be open for this purpose only during the two hour window. No shopping.

Joseph entered the store around noon, where police said he fired many rounds, sending shoppers and workers messing for exits and cowering in bathroom stalls. Along with the AR-15-style rifle, he had 13 loaded magazines of ammunition.
Authorities said that dressed Omaha police officers and a state trooper came to the Target and encountered Joseph armed with a rifle upon entering.
Fire personnel later announced Joseph was dead. No casualties were hurt during the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
