Bure has an older brother, Pavel Bure, who has the same interests as his younger brother. Bure’s father, Vladimir, who was born in Furna, Switzerland, was an Olympic swimmer who won four medals for the Soviet Union in three Olympics between 1968 and 1976. From 1815 to 1917, his ancestors produced valuable timepieces for the Russian emperors , earning them noble rank as craftsmen of the imperial family.
