Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and More Buzzy Stars Set to Join Beef Season 2

The cast for the upcoming season Beef was discovered.

Netflix announced on Tuesday, October 22 that Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny will star in the second season of the acclaimed series.

New season of Beef will describe a young couple who witness “an alarming feud between their boss and his wife, which sets in motion chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner,” according to the official synopsis.

2nd season Beef — which will feature eight 30-minute episodes — Lee Sung Jin returns as creator, showrunner and executive producer, while Jake Schreier will join season one stars Steven Yeu and Ali Wong as executive producers.

As fans may recall, Season 1 started with a fun road rage incident between Yeun and Ali Wong’s characters, which becomes something much more as it progresses.

After the events, the main characters find their lives intertwined in unexpected ways and explore the complex push between the shackles of cultural expectations and being their real selves.

The series became the most recognized and awarded anthology series in the 2023-2024 awards season. He has won eight Emmy Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, two Gotham Awards, two Film Independent Spirit Awards, two SAG Awards, along with PGA, WGA and AFI Honors.

After the Emmys, Jin revealed The Hollywood Reporter that he was “constantly writing things down” for a potential second season.

“I mean Beef will always have by its title alone [conflict] simmering underneath,” he explained at the time. “But as for the other layers, that’s something I should really take some time and see deep down what wants to come out.”

1st season Beef is available to stream on Netflix. The release date of the second season has not been announced.
