Otto Farrant is a British actor, best known for his role as the title character in the Amazon Prime spy thriller Alex Rider (2020).

Otto Farrant was born on Wednesday, November 13, 1996 (24 years old in 2020) and is from Hammersmith, London, England. His star sign is Scorpio. He attended Graveney School in London. He first became interested in acting after watching the fictional character Gavroche in the play Les Misérables sing the song “The Little Man”. He later studied drama courses at Stagecoach Drama School in Battersea, London.

Otto Farrant began his career as a theatre artist at the age of 11 when he was chosen by his school to act in The Merry Wives of Windsor (2008) at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. Speaking about his acting career, he said:

At school, I wasn’t great at English, I was much better at maths and science, I almost got a degree in physics and maths… However, I was always in school plays. One day I was chosen to do a play at the Globe Theatre, I got an agent and my career just snowballed from there.”

Since then, he has managed to balance his studies with theatre performances. His other theatre productions include playing Eteocles in Oedipus (2008), Charlie in The Habit of Art (2009), and Sam in Platoon (2011). In 2014, he played the role of a young collector in the play A Streetcar Named Desire, co-starring with the famous American actress Gillian Anderson.
