Outlander is truly a series like no other. One moment you burst into tears as Jamie reunites with his beloved daughter for the first time in 20 years after circumstances brutally separate him from his family, the next Mr. Bugg is cursing Ian, and there is a treasure was buried by a dead Hispanic woman and Brianna was waving crazy fake bangs – all of this happened in the third episode.
But perhaps the craziest moment of the episode was met with barely any backlash – and that Jamie can now see the future?! Join us for a (nervous) analysis of Season 7, Episode 3…
It’s fair to say that there’s never a dull moment in episode three as the action kicks in as Fraser’s Ridge is finally doomed to burn down. However, it wasn’t when Brianna and Roger read about it in the newspaper, it was actually at a different time, thanks to Brianna introducing matches centuries ago.

Did Bree and Roger really manage to change the past or, as Claire said, did the press get it wrong? Either way, Jamie and Claire are now homeless and also sitting comfortably on a giant mound of Jacobite gold.

The unfortunate gold caused the death of Mrs. Bugg, Fraser’s landlady, after Ian shot her in an identity mistake. Since Ian hasn’t got anything he loves yet, Mr. Bugg has vowed to wait until he does before getting his revenge – so we certainly don’t think it’s the last time we’ll ever see him. see him.

Meanwhile, Jamie has woken Claire with one of his dreams, in this case seeing Bree and Roger talking to their friend Fiona, and describing the phone perfectly. Claire is just happy to describe how the phone works – but we have some QUESTIONS.

Should we admit that Jamie really sees the future? And more importantly, why does he see the future?! Does this mean he could soon walk through rocks? And why is he really the only character at this point who can’t walk through rock? (See our video review for more judgment and/or hysteria on the subject).

While Jamie dreams of his daughter in the future, his son William is very much in the present, and young Ian seems to have insisted that the British soldier is Jamie’s son, where people reiterates that William could never know the truth about his origins. But our question is why on earth not? Tell him, cowards! Surely this is just a setup for some dramatic revelations? We think Kat and Zoe Slater’s EastEnders-style reveal should be on the card.

What’s next for Jamie and Claire? After everything they owned burned down, the couple are bringing Ian back to Scotland, which we are delighted with! See you in Lallybroch, Sassenachs!
