SentryGraham McTavish is not a stranger to delete the landscape.
Actor, 64, who plays in a new indie movie, Somewhere in MontanaShe says shooting in Big Sky, she felt very reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands in her homeland. “I’ve never been there before; it’s a really nice situation,” he tells people. “It was just stunning, stunning.”

The actor was even more in love with the locals he met. “They are so connected to the environment around them, earth and nature,” he says. “I love the way they live. It’s a very simple, direct life.”
In the film, written and directed by Brandon Smith, McTavish portrays a robust cattle ranch in Montana, John Alexander, who is forced to rent his property to film production to exclude financial collapse. His conservative character clashes with a more liberal director (played by Matt Drago) and the two have to find a way to solve their differences.

“I just loved the story, really. I loved the relationship between the two main characters and how different they are,” the actor explains. “They really represent polar opposites, and I think this is a topic that is really worth exploring.”
Set on the backdrop of Glacier National Park, the story “talks about tolerance, accepting different views,” adds McTavish. “I think it’s important to celebrate this and understand that people do not always agree and that they can really do not quite passionately agree, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sit and drink a drink and help someone. I thought it was a very important message.”

John “has nothing to prove to anyone,” McTavish says. “Such a kind without stupidity, just like my dad, I just tell you that it’s energy. And it’s not that they are carefree, not to feel fear. They are just comfortable than who they are. I found him such an amazing character.”

McTavish had to repeat another of his beloved characters, Dougal Mackenzie, in the seventh hit series Starz Sentry. “That’s so weird. When we started that show, we really had no idea it would be so popular,” he says. “But there is really no day that goes where I don’t touch my life in some way. Someone comes to me or someone questions me, it appears a lot. And I’m very proud of it. I loved to come back like Dougal.”

The actor will see each other in the Starz series next time, Spartacus: ASHERA HOUSEplaying a former gladiator who won his freedom at the Arena. “He’s actually a good guy. He’s a decent man. He’s honest and loyal,” McTavish says of the role. “So he is not duplicated and manipulative and any such thing, but it is not shy fight. Yes, he enters a few remains, but it was great fun.”
Plus, “I had a [long haired] The wig, “he says, laughing.” I throw my head on constantly. They had to tell me to stop. ”

“I was very pleased, obviously sold out,” he says. “I am slowly trying to expand on our retail side, because we do not want to overload because it was a very, very steep learning curve for me. But I have a really great team that works with me who are actually really good in things like this.”
McTavish fans could even turn around watching Spartak together with your bourbon into the game. “For every person who [my character] You kill, you have to drink, “kidding.” Some episodes will be easier than others. ”
