Outlander’s Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and more wow fans as they celebrate season 7

foreignerSam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe delighted their most ardent fans on Thursday night by taking part in a live podcast recording to talk about everything in season seven. The cast of the Starz series, beloved as Jamie and Claire Fraser, appeared on Josh Horowitz’s podcast Mixed joys and sorrows as they go through a day filled with press interviews.

Sam and Caitriona are joined by others foreigner actors Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin play Brianna Fraser and Roger MacKenzie, who will also join the Fraser couple at the Tribeca Film Festival for the exclusive premiere of the series’ finale on Friday, June 9 .

The chat also included Sam and Caitroina’s initial chemistry test, insights into the cast’s daily lives, and a segment where Sam, Caitriona, Sophie, and Richard watch hilarious human-made memes fan created.

On Friday morning, the stars took to their social media to appreciate the occasion. “Fantastic evening with the @92ndstreety Fraser family celebrating the @outlander_starz premiere!” wrote Sam on Instagram. “A big thank you to @joshuahorowitz for not messing up…” he then added.

Richard Rankin described the evening as “an absolute blast” on his Instagram story, while Caitriona Balfe celebrated the general press conference with a post on Wednesday, simply titled ” Press Day 1″. Likewise, Sophie celebrated the entire event with a snap in New York that she posted with the caption “English in New York.”

The first season of the seventh season will premiere on TV on June 16; Earlier this year, it was revealed that the second part wouldn’t come out until 2024. The so-called ‘Droughtlander’ had mixed opinions about the divisive finale.

“Why is the distance so long? […] Even if you took 2 months off and started again in November/December also in 2024? Sorry for being ungrateful, looks like we’re waiting longer and longer as other shows go faster,” one member of the show’s rabid fanbase wrote on Twitter.

Another added: “HOORAY in the beginning but BOOO I have to wait until ‘sometime’ 2024, what?? This is driving me crazy.” The third wrote: “So cruel! Why are you dividing the seasons! OMG.” But others were more enthusiastic, with one posting: “Thanks!! We’ll see now foreigner 2023, 2024 and 2025!! I will enjoy every moment!!”
