Padma Lakshmi just got a peek at some of the fashion wars going on in her house.
The author and TV presenter, 54, has gotten to the point where her 14-year-old daughter, Krishna, steals clothes from her closet — but wears them a little differently than mom would like.
In a video posted by Lakshmi on social media on December 14, the former A top chef the host is seen in her kitchen with Krishna, who tells her that her jeans and top are from her closet.
“I’m wearing all my clothes today,” Lakshmi says in the video.

Then she realizes that she doesn’t like Krishna wearing extremely low-waisted, wide-leg jeans and a shirt cut off above the navel – so she decides to make some changes to her look.
Needless to say, Krishna is as terrified of his mother as you’d expect a 14-year-old to be.
As Lakshmi starts rummaging through the kitchen’s junk drawer, Krishna tells her that he’s not going to “brace” for jeans or a “Ziploc bag.” Lakshmi assures her that she will not use any of them. Instead, she pulls out a clip, which Krishna worries will be a “chip clip”.

After Lakshmi tucks Krishna’s pants a little higher at the waist, she tells her, “That’s still very attractive.” Krishna immediately rips off the clip and tells her, “No!” and pulls the pants lower on the waist.
The teenager then poses for the camera with her hip thrust to the side to show off her low-waisted jeans as Lakshmi sighs in defeat.

Lakshmi, who shares Krishna with Adam Dell, shared a rare photo on Instagram over the summer of the three of them together in honor of Krishna’s high school graduation.
“Can’t believe my little girl is going to high school after summer,” Lakshmi wrote in the caption. “I want to thank all the teachers, educators, counselors, security and staff at the United Nations School for taking care of Krishna all these years.”
She continued: “I’m so proud of Krishna and all she’s achieved in her young, happy life. A special thank you to the theater department at UNIS and all the wonderful parents’ association members. I’ll miss you at the snack bar as Littlehands would say… gurl bye!”
