Padres Pitcher Cole Paplham Gets Hit in the Face by 102 MPH Line Drive During Training Game Against Dodgers

San Diego Padres Bichar Cole Paplham hit the ground on the field.

The socket is added that Padres manager Mike Shildt confirmed that Paplham remained aware and awake after the incident and was rated on the field for a few minutes.

“Our prayers are with him,” Shildt said. “He was aware, he seemed awake, he knew where he was. But obviously a scary thing. … He was obviously in some pain, and obviously when something like that happened, it was a little crumpled.”
