Paget Brewster opens up about her relationship with aging.
On Sunday, September 15, Criminal minds star, 55, shared a candid post on X about learning to embrace the natural aging process.
“I’m discovering that it’s okay to age naturally,” she wrote in the post, along with a casual, graying selfie of herself with her hair pulled back. “It’s a tough choice in Hollywood.”
“I’m just happy to be alive and have friends and family. I love the movies and the actors I love,” she continued. “I saw Batman at a party and he was OLDER but I was just as thrilled and excited.”
One of Friends aluminum fans jokingly responded to the post, complimenting Brewster on her appearance. “My [girlfriend] says you look like a sexy witch,” they wrote, to which Brewster jokingly replied, “All I ever wanted was to be a sexy witch. That’s my bone structure. I thank you.”
Another fan shared his support for the actress and spoke about his own struggles with aging.
“Don’t listen to anyone who says you’re less than stunning. I find that when I can tune out society’s opinion of aging women, I actually like how I look better,” they commented. “My gray hair, smile lines on my face. We are beautiful, and don’t forget that.”
“Honey, you’re where we all want to be. I salute you and hug you,” Brewster replied.

This isn’t the first time Brewster has used social media to spark discussions about aging in Hollywood. Earlier this summer, she opened up in another X post about being ‘tempted’ to alter her appearance with injections.
“I’m quite happy with how I look without plastic surgery, but I’m also tempted to ‘be prettier’. Lip injections, botox, but I think I can really do it,” she wrote in July.

“I like my face. And I’m afraid of neck surgery,” she added. “Maybe I want your support. I love you guys.”
Brewster — known for the role of the third part of the love triangle on Friends between characters Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) — also previously said she made an active choice not to use “injections or surgery” in an attempt to look younger.
“It’s hard to grow old and not have injections or surgery, but I choose to,” Brewster wrote on X in January 2023, alongside a photo of herself with a new, completely gray hairdo.
“I’m older,” she wrote then and added, “I’m still hard-working, curious and sexy.” Very sexy,”
