Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dave Bautista Starring In Gia Coppola’s New MovieThe Last Showgirl

Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka and Billie Lourd team up in a new film from director Gio Coppola.

A stellar cast leads the way The last showgirlwritten by Kate Gersten and produced by Robert Schwartzman and Natalie Farrey. Deadline first reported the news on Thursday.

The upcoming feature film follows a seasoned entertainer in her fifties whose series abruptly ends after 30 years of running. She begins to struggle with what the future holds for her, all the while trying to mend her relationship with her daughter.

“I’ve always wanted to make a movie in Vegas,” Coppola, 37, said Deadline. “I am so proud of our cast and crew, especially Pamela. I can’t wait to share her bold and heartfelt performance!”

“Dream project, dream cast,” Schwartzman shared with Deadline. “We couldn’t be more honored and grateful for the opportunity to tell an authentic Las Vegas story that pays tribute to the iconic Showgirl, told through Gia’s unique sense of style and visual storytelling.”

Production on the film has recently wrapped, but a release date has not yet been announced.

On Thursday, Coppola shared a post on Instagram confirming that filming has wrapped. In the signatures of the cast and crew, she included a photo of the clapperboard covered.

“That’s final! 🎲🪄💕 #TheLastShowgirl,” the director wrote.

Anderson, 56, commented, “🤍✨.”

Lourd (31) added “🎰👑❤️” and Shipka (24) wrote “Weeeee!”

Curtis’ latest role follows her Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in 2023 Everything everywhere and at once. In addition to her role in the film, which won seven Oscars, the 65-year-old actress starred in the series, which won ten Emmys. Bear as the mother of Jeremy Allen White’s character, Carmy.

Song, 35, returns to live-action production after lending her voice to the recent animated series Chibiverse, the blue-eyed samurai and Proud family: Louder and prouder during 2022 and 2023.

Lourd, like Song, also recently served as a voice actor for the 2023 series Strange planet. The actress also returned to American Horror Story: Delicate as a guest star alongside Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian.
