Pamela Anderson Says Her '90s Playboy Image Was a 'Cartoon Character': 'I'm Not That Person Anymore'

Pamela Anderson embraces a new philosophy of beauty.

The 57-year-old actress and activist became famous as Playboy model and star of a TV series Baywatch and became widely regarded as a sex symbol. However, in recent years, Anderson has opted for a more toned-down look, swapping her signature smoky eyes and lined lips for a no-makeup lifestyle.

In the new headline interview with Better Homes and Gardensstar has been open about her choice to step away from Hollywood and shed her previous persona.

“That was the beginning of me giving up the image I’ve always had of myself,” she told her cover page at Paris Fashion Week 2023, where she went makeup-free for the first time. “What is this cartoon character I created? OK, it was fun. But I’m not that person anymore.”

Anderson also said she wanted to “challenge the idea of ​​beauty and this mask we put on” but “didn’t think anyone would notice” her choice to go bare-faced.
