Less than an hour later, the boy (18) was found dead on a nearby railroad track.
Now those who knew the mum-of-three have told how “kind” Maya would “do anything” for her children.
Neighbors this afternoon revealed how disappointed they were by May’s death and paid tribute to the 56-year-old.
One told how the “lovely” mum had become a familiar smiling face since moving into the neighborhood in recent years.
She lived in a seven-bed £2.5m house in Pangbourne with her three children – twins, a boy and a girl and another son, they claimed.
The neighbor said that they realized that the Indonesian woman had separated from her husband and was in the process of divorcing.
They told The Sun: “She was a very sweet and loving woman who absolutely loved her children.
“She would do anything for them and they seemed to have a good relationship.
“They were all in boarding school before, they were quiet but nice children.
“It’s so unexpected since they’re such a wonderful family. She was our friend.”
Locals said that Maya moved to Great Britain with her husband from Hong Kong ten years ago.
Another neighbor expressed his shock, saying the deaths had shaken the community: “It’s terrible, I can’t believe what’s happened.
“We rushed to help, but the police were already there, and then the ambulance arrived.
– They told us to go home and they fenced everything off.
After the bodies were found Thursday, police quickly launched a homicide investigation and said they believed the two deaths were related.
They added that they are no longer looking for anyone.
The bodies were discovered after police were called to a traffic accident around 5.45pm on Thursday.
Emergency services raced to the area and arrived to find Maya stabbed in the vehicle — which neighbors said was her Lexus.
Unfortunately, she died at the scene of the accident despite the best efforts of the doctors.
Just 30 minutes later, at nearby Pangbourne train station, the teenager was found dead on the tracks.
He died at the scene.
Thames Valley Police said they believe the deaths are linked and are not looking for anyone else.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of major crime, said on Friday: “We launched a homicide investigation following the death of a woman near Flower’s Hill, Pangbourne, and the related discovery of a deceased man at Pangbourne train station.
“First, on behalf of the police, I would like to express my condolences to the loved ones of both at this extremely difficult time.
“We are in the very early stages of this complex investigation but at this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with either death.
“We are still investigating, but we believe the two deaths are related; we have no insight into the circumstances of each.
“There is no greater danger to the public than these sad and tragic incidents.
“We are asking anyone with information about the deaths to call 101 or report on our website, quoting 43240005369.”
