Parambrata Chatterjee is an Indian actor, director and producer. He is famous for his work in Bengali television and film industry. He became popular in the Hindi film industry in 2012 for his role as Satyaki Sinha (Rana) in the Hindi film “Kahaani”.

Inappropriate remarks about actresses
In 2015, Parambrata Chatterjee was criticized for her co-star Rudranil Go on a reality show hosted by Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee. Rudranil Ghosh accidentally got involved in a controversy with his comments. Talking to the host, Ghosh said that both the actors were in a relationship with the same girl. He went a step further and made inappropriate and cringe-worthy remarks with sexual connotations, describing girls as a “playground” where he “played” in the morning and Parambrata “played” in the evening . The girl responded by filing a defamation lawsuit against the two actors. However, some media reports dismissed the incident as a “clumsy publicity stunt by the manufacturer.”
Faced criticism for distorting original events
In the 2022 Bengali film Abhijaan, Poulami Bose accused director Parambrata of distorting real events, ignoring important people and aspects of his life, and including her son’s accident in the film without consent. Parambrata countered that the depictions were approved by the actors involved.
