Paresh Ghelani is an Indian-American businessman and philanthropist in his fifties. He was born in the Indian state of Gujarat, but his family moved from the Indian state to Chicago in the United States when he was a teenager. After several years in Chicago, his family moved to Los Angeles, California, where they have lived ever since. Since he was born into a business family, he inherited the family tradition and later became a millionaire. He is the chairman of BPG Motors, the creator of the crossover, or off-road vehicle.
In addition to being a successful businessman, he is a philanthropist and is actively involved in building and investing in Moon Express, Viome Inc, DTV Motor Corporation, Ferrate Treatment Technologies, Casepoint and Radimmune Therapeutics.
As a philanthropist, his dream project is the XPRIZE Foundation, which helps people around the world solve huge challenges through inspiring prizes. He, along with Ratan Tata and Naveen Jain, also brought the XPRIZE Foundation to India to address fundamental issues in India such as health, sanitation, women’s safety, clean water, waste management, etc.
He also founded 2020 Company LLC to provide the U.S. government with the latest technology in education, defense and healthcare.
