Paris Hilton is a very proud mom!
Addressing exclusively to PEOPLE at GQAt the Men of the Year Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Hilton, 42, said she was “obsessed” with her baby boy Phoenix Barron, who was born via surrogate in January.
“It’s exciting to have this next phase in my life and just have this little angel that brightens my day every morning and this smile melts my heart,” she says. “He’s my best friend and I’m just obsessed.

Hilton – who shares Phoenix with her husband Carter Reum – adds that her son spends time laughing and dancing, and that he smiles “every second.” It also reveals that the baby has even mastered a few words!
“He says, ‘Mom.’ He says, ‘Yes.’ He says, ‘daddy’ now too,” says Hilton. “I felt like the other day when I said, ‘I love you, God.’ He said something to me and it sounded like, ‘I love you.’ ”

Hilton also tells PEOPLE that her mother, Kathy Hilton, likes to stop by her house to see Phoenix, adding that she is “so in love with him.”
And it may not be long before Phoenix has a sibling as the star reveals that she “can’t wait to have another baby,” and would love to have her next baby girl!

The reality TV star enjoyed a night off from her mommy duties at the star-studded gala dinner held at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in LA. Other guests included Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa. Hilton chose to wear a draped silver, shimmering gown that evening.

Paris’ sister Nicky Hilton, 40, previously came to her nephew’s defense after vicious comments about his appearance.
“I think that if you mistreat a child, then you have serious problems and really [have to] Look at yourself,” Nicky told Page Six Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year event on Nov. 7 “It’s so crazy,” she added.
Paris also brushed off negative comments about the size of her son’s head last month, saying her “angel is perfectly healthy” and that he “just has a big brain.”
“Living in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else, is unacceptable,” she added in a post she shared on her Instagram story.
