Maria Delilah Rosson confirmed her father’s death and revealed that he died of a heart attack in Los Angeles. However, it is not clear whether he was in the hospital or at home at the time of his death. Career
Pat Rosson’s entire family worked in the entertainment industry when he was born on July 20, 1952. He attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks and wanted to work in real estate. Rosson made his acting debut in November 1960, in the sixth episode of The Andy Griffith Show. He played George “Tex” Foley, whose circumstances taught Opie valuable lessons about trust and commitment. He then appeared in an episode of The Twilight Zone, a CBS thriller.
From 1965 to 1966, he played Jerry Carr on ABC’s The Young Marrieds. The character was depicted in a custody dispute with his biological mother, Susan Garrett, and adopted mother, actress Lena Gilroy. In 1962, he also had the opportunity to work with his godfather, actor Paul Picerni, on the film The Untouchables. Rosson later became known for his roles in TV programs such as Denis the Menace, Ben Casey, Hazel and The Munsters, as well as films such as The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm and Johnny Cool.
Pat’s late brother Eddie, who starred in Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World and Camp Runamuck, was also a young actor.
