Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid made sure Taylor Swift’s spirit was present at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring ceremony, even though she was on the other side of the world.
The quarterback, 28, and head coach, 66, mentioned the pop star, 34, who is currently filling international dates on his Eras Tour, wearing friendship bracelets at an event on Thursday, June 13, celebrating the team’s Super Bowl LVIII victory.
Mahomes’ colorful bracelet read “PM <3 BM," a nod to his wife, Brittany Mahomes. The athlete teamed the look with a tailored black suit with jewel-like details, layered chains and black sunglasses.
Brittany, 28, wore a red fringed off-the-shoulder dress with matching heels and star earrings. Stylist Venetia Kidd, who worked on Swift’s Eras Tour, put together the look.

Reid wore a friendship bracelet with red and yellow beads and the word “coach”, given to him by influencer Taylen Biggs. The accessory complemented his classic black suit topped with a white collared shirt and red tie. “Coach with my bracelet and his ring,” Biggs wrote in an Instagram Story, adding a picture of Reid at the event.
Although Swift wasn’t in attendance, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, made sure he was dressed to impress. He wore a red velvet suit by Zegna in combination with white Christian Louboutin Louis Junior sneakers.

Swift showed her support by including Chariah Gordon in an Instagram Live of the event. The singer left a variety of comments, including one dedicated to Gordon’s boyfriend, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman, which read, “AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE,” referring to his new contract.
It’s no surprise that Mahomes and Reid proudly wore friendship bracelets at events, as they both expressed their support for the Grammy-winning musician.
“I’ve met a lot of famous people in my life. Taylor is probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for so long,” Mahomes said TIME in April. “She’s never working. Even when she has free time, she’s working on something. She’s shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can tell by the way she talks.”
“Even when she’s talking about football, when she’s learning it, you can see how her business mind puts it together,” he continued. “It’s almost like she’s trying to become a coach. ‘Why can’t you try this, this and this?’ She asks the right question.”

Speaking to PEOPLE in December after the game, Reid said of Swift, “Look, I’m a huge fan, so I’m glad she was here and I hope she enjoyed herself. She’s got a great guy that she’s dating right now, so I happy for both.”
