Patrick Mahomes Celebrates After Travis Kelce Owes Up on their College Football Bet

Patrick Mahomes cashes in on a bet he made with teammate Travis Kelce!

After Mahomes’ alma mater Texas Tech defeated Kelce’s Cincinnati Bearcats 44-41, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was forced to meet the terms of the bet.

During his latest episode New heights podcast, Kelce opened the show by donning Tech’s Red Raiders mascot — which he told brother Jason Kelce “smells exactly like our hockey gear.”

Mahomes later celebrated winning the X bet with Tech yelling, “WreckEm.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Travis criticized those who called his performance against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 29 a “comeback game.”

Kelce’s 89 yards were more than he had in the first three games combined, but he still said he wasn’t “great” by his own standards.

“The big game is like I score a touchdown or something,” Travis told his brother on the podcast. “I was responsible in this game, I didn’t have any drops, which happened in Atlanta that I felt like I played a bad game. I didn’t have an outstanding game.”

The Chiefs star went on to explain that as long as his team is winning — and Kansas City is winning, going 4-0 on the season — then everything else is “just noise.”

“Everything outside the building is just noise,” Travis said. “I helped my team find a way to win and that’s all that will ever matter.”
