Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce celebrate winning the Christmas game with extra candy!
On Dec. 25, after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-10 to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC, Mahomes, 29, and Kelce, 35, returned to the field to join senior NFL reporter Stacey Dales . Netflix surprised them with cake footballs. After struggling to open the football, Kelce opened his.
“Oh yeah, look at that,” the tight end says, holding the cake, which was captured on video and posted to X by the team. “Little Red Velvet.”
While Kelce continued to nibble on the cake, his quarterback decided not to taste it.
“I’m watching my weight until the playoffs, you know?” the quarterback says, laughing.
“More pushing than pulling in, that’s the coach [Andy] Reid would say,” Kelce interjects as he continues to eat the cake.

As the three continue to talk, Dales asks Kelce what the cake tastes like.
“Very red velvety,” replies Kelce. “It’s very spot on. It’s good. I’m going to take this to the locker room and get a victory cake.”
Mahomes, however, had different plans for his cake. “Coach Reid is ready for it, I’ll take it to him,” he says.

In addition to celebrating the cake, Mahomes also shared during the interview what the win means to him and his family, including his wife, Brittany Mahomes, 30, who is pregnant, their 3-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye, and 2-year-old son, Bronco.
“I told my wife I was going to get her No. 1 seed so we could have that baby,” he says.

Kelce, on the other hand, rang in the holiday spirit with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, by gifting Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones and his girlfriend, Sheawne Weathersby.
On Christmas Day, Weathersby shared a photo of beautifully wrapped presents under a festive tree on her Instagram Story. Attached was a card signed “Merry Christmas” from “Travis and Taylor”.
“So blessed and thankful this holiday season,” Weathersby captioned the snap, adding, “Thank you soooo Tay Tay!!!”
The Chiefs will play one more game next week, against the Broncos in Denver, to close out the regular season.
