Paul McCartney’s still got it — and he’s not afraid to show it!
The Beatles member, 82, recently surprised patrons at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, NY, with an impromptu performance.
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, album producer Andrew Watt, legendary guitarist GE Smith and more took the stage at the intimate Hamptons venue as scheduled — followed by the “Band on the Run” musician. them for a surprise song.
The song the group performed? A Beatles classic, of course.

Dressed in ultra-casual jeans and a tracksuit, McCartney rocked the house with a rendition of the Beatles’ 1963 song “I Saw Her Standing There,” which he and John Lennon wrote.
In videos shared by Billboard and Watt himself, the “FourFiveSeconds” singer holds a microphone and plays the hit, laughing and grabbing the “Die with a Smile” producer’s shoulder as they perform together under a disco ball.
“So how could I dance with another? / When I saw her standing?” McCartney sang as the crowd – and the band members – went wild.

Alongside a clip of the special moment, Watt wrote: “Last night @chadsmithofficial & I burned @talkhousebar to the ground, then @paulmccartney desecrated the place… dream like sequence.”
In the comments of the producer’s post, several musicians shared their awe at McCartney’s fun cameo. “This is crazy! 👏👏,” wrote Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, while fellow Red Hot Chili Peppers member Flea said: “That’s f—— work.”

Plus, to close out the performance, the rock legend “dropped the mic when it was over like a rap battle and walked away,” Sherman added. “Enthusiastic. 🤯 one of the best things we’ve all ever seen.”
