In June, The Sun revealed that Brazilian ballet dancer Andre had lost his battle with neighbors to convert the security hut at their home into a two-bedroom detached house THREE times its size.

However, he later got permission to turn it into a rest stop instead.

Eighteen months after Paul’s death, the property is now on the market.

It was listed on Rightmove last Thursday and is likely to attract a lot of interest.

TV favorite Paul O’Grady’s grave still has no headstone due to red tape – 18 months after his death

Four years ago, star Lily Savage Paul got the go-ahead for an outbuilding, gym and dance studio on his country estate.

But following his death last year, his widower inherited the property and launched a bid to convert the security hut into a two-bedroom detached house.

He submitted a request to the local council for a “change of use” of the security lodge, which has an office, kitchen and shower, and is located next to the family’s pet cemetery.

But neighbors condemned his plans and accused him of trying to build a new home “backdoor”.

In a letter of objection, the neighbor said: “The current application is in direct contravention of the original planning conditions and in my view is an attempt to get planning permission for a substantial residential development out the back door, and one that will not doubtless be sold separately from the main building.

“Given that the property is very large, there is certainly still a need for groundskeepers and gardeners and, moreover, a workshop built for them.”

Andre later applied to transform the cottage into a holiday let and was given the go-ahead by Ashford Council.

Planning officer Sally Hodgson said: “Central Government guidance supports sustainable business, enterprise and tourism in rural areas, both through the conversion of existing buildings and well-designed new buildings.

“This is confirmed by the Local Plan, which seeks to stimulate the sustainable growth of tourism.”

For Love of Dogs presenter Paul bought the seven-bedroom country house for £650,000 in 1999.

The sprawling 50-acre estate sits in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and also comes with four acres of woodland in the so-called Garden of England, where past and present neighbors include comedians Julian Clary and Alan Carr.

Paul died at home in March 2023 from a sudden cardiac arrhythmia.

He had previously suffered two heart attacks.

Paul and Andre married in 2017 after first meeting in 2006.
