It was a shirtless Christmas for Pedro Pascal.
Hot off the Gladiator II press tour, the Chilean actor, 49, headed to the beach to celebrate the holidays with friends, including designer and LNA Clothing founder Lauren Alexander, who blessed everyone’s Instagram feeds with a shirtless snap of the Emmy-nominated star.
In a video shared on Alexander’s Instagram Stories on Dec. 25, the abs-baring Pascal looked effortlessly cool as he read Olga Tokarczuk’s “Don’t Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead (yes, we zoomed in) on a deckchair. His signature curls were also in perfect shape, probably thanks to the air infused with sea salt.

Alexander shared another photo of Pascal in aroon swim trunks and aviator sunglasses. He joined composer Brandan Campbell (both worked on Game of Thrones) in drinking a drink from a large green coconut.
Pascal was not topless the whole vacation. Another beach photo shared on Instagram shows the star wearing a baggy white T-shirt and chevron print swim trunks. He posed alongside singer Omar Apollo and Franklin Latt, a talent agent according to his IMDb page.

No matter what time of year it is, Pascal is always ready for a sunny getaway by the sea. Speaking to PEOPLE in May in partnership with Corona, he described his “perfect summer day” as one spent at the beach “with friends and good music.”
Part of the reason he loves the beach so much is that there’s nothing more “therapeutic” than being near the ocean “and not thinking about anything else but where you are at that moment.”

Pascal had a successful year on screen after starring in Ridley Scott’s sequel Gladiator and earned his first SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for The last of us. He called the win an “incredible fucking honor.”
There is already more to look forward to in the coming year. Last February, Pascal was announced as one of the stars of the new movie from Marvel Studios Fantastic four movie coming out in July 2025. He will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Julia Garner and Paul Walter Hauser.
