Pep Guardiola warns Man City stars criminals are watching them on social media after £1m raid on Jack Grealish’s house

MAN City boss Pep Guardiola yesterday told his mega-rich stars that they are always being followed on social media – so “the less the criminals know, the better”.

He has urged players not to flaunt their wealth online after we revealed Jack Grealish’s family were terrorized by robbers in their new mansion.

The city manager said they should share “not so much on social media — the less they know about what you’re doing, the better. People are waiting. I’m waiting to see where you are”.

Grealish’s partner Sasha Attwood and up to ten relatives were at his £5.6million home in Cheshire on Wednesday night when they heard the burglars upstairs.

They pressed the panic alarm before the attackers made off with £1 million worth of watches and jewels, despite extensive fencing and security.

Grealish, 28, who played away to Everton, has just moved into the property.

On Christmas Day, he and Sasha posted a festive photo with their dog Skye, which was shared by more than 10 million followers.

The English winger also posted a picture of a dining table with a Christmas menu.

The Sun can reveal detectives are speaking to the team that installed the security system at his home.

The ordeal also left model and influencer Sasha, 27, “absolutely devastated”.

Guardiola said his £100m man, who is expected to play against Sheffield United today, will “take it hard”. He added: “That’s what it is in the modern world today.

“Yes, it was a bad time for him and his family, but luckily the family was not hurt.”

Guardiola compared it to the 2021 ordeal suffered by City defender Joao Cancelo, now on loan at Barcelona.

The player was beaten after confronting four robbers who broke into his home in Hale, Greater Manchester, while he was there with his family.

The Spanish coach said of the spate of break-ins: “It happened to Manchester United players as well. I don’t know much about London, but it happened there.

“They have insurance. But unfortunately it happened – it happened many times.

“In Great Britain, in Catalonia, where my family lives, many things are happening. You have to be careful today, for sure.

“Unfortunately, that’s what happened with Joao Cancelo, which was so terrible because the family was attacked.

“Jewelry, money, anything – it’s hard – but it’s hard for Jack to process that family, like it was with Joao.”

Last year, then City winger Riyad Mahrez had items worth £500,000 stolen from his Manchester account, including watches he had posted on social media.

Cheshire Police are appealing for information about the latest burglary.
