Pete Davidson and ‘Outer Banks’ Star Madelyn Cline Are Dating: Sources

Love is in the air for Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline!

The Saturday night live alum, 29, i Foreign banks star, 25, are officially dating, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE.

Representatives for Davidson and Cline did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. US Weekly was the first to publish the news.

News of their romance comes shortly after Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders called it quits after less than a year of dating in August.

“He’s single again,” a source told PEOPLE at the time, referencing his brief stint in rehab. “He’s out there doing really well.”

The breakup came two months after Bupkis star voluntarily checked into mental health treatment in June due to a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder. After his release, the comedian was spotted in Florida, where he performed a standup set at a comedy club in Dania Beach.

Davidson, who built a reputation for seeing high-profile women, opened up about the public interest surrounding his love life and how it affected the end of his tenure at SNL. He claimed that his eight seasons on the late-night sketch comedy show were somewhat tainted by public curiosity about who he was dating.

“I’m in my 20s and I’ve dated people. And for some reason, people find that very crazy and interesting. I don’t think it’s interesting,” he told Jon Berthnal on Real podcast in March. “I’ve been in show business almost half my life – 14 or 15 years on a national TV show. In 12 years I’ve dated 10 people. I don’t think it’s that crazy, but some people, it’s very interesting. It’s became all anyone would talk about.”

The comedian has made headlines for his previous relationships with Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, Ariana Grande and Cazzie David.

“I’m like, I don’t get laid, you know what I mean? And those people I dated, I met at work,” he added about his famous lovers. “I wasn’t in anybody’s DMs, nobody was in mine. … All of a sudden you’re in this zeitgeist and it has nothing to do with work. And it’s a really s—-y feeling.”

As for Cline, the actress was recently linked to Zack Bio after her divorce from him Foreign banks costar Chase Stokes in November 2021 Despite splitting, Cline and Stokes continued to play love interests in the Netflix drama and have said their relationship status has not affected their professional lives.

“Mads and I have been working together for 30 episodes now and we promised each other before we even started dating that work would always come first,” Stokes, 31, said. Entertainment Weekly back in February.

“And no matter what happens in our personal lives and the ways life sometimes takes you in different directions, we will always respect the work. That has remained 100 percent true this season.”

Cline added that the two “have always been there for each other when it comes to work and this show.”

“We had a working relationship before we had a personal relationship, and our job from day one has always been to leave the show better than we found it,” she explained. “I’m really, really happy and I’m really proud of the work this season, and I’m incredibly grateful for my colleagues and their professionalism and how talented everyone is.”
