THE Only Way is Essex star Pete Wicks has opened up about why he looked ‘different’ after causing concern during a brief appearance on I’m A Celebrity.
Pete was on hand to support his best friend, and eventual king of the jungle, Sam Thompson during his time on the show.

The lady flew to Australia and cheered him on on social media after telling fans he was “so proud” of Sam and his achievements in the jungle.
However, some fans were left worried about Pete after he appeared on screen to support Sam in the last few episodes.
Pete surprised the Made in Chelsea star on Friday’s show during a sweet friends and family gathering.
He reappeared at the end of the jungle bridge to celebrate Sam taking the crown.
Fans were drawn to Pete’s face as it appeared ‘swollen’ and unlike his usual fresh appearance.
Now Pete has set the record straight and revealed what was actually causing his different appearance.
He informed fans that he was exposed to a series of mosquito bites which led to a bad reaction.
Confirming that his face is back to normal and all is well, the star wrote in an Instagram story: “Also, you will all be pleased to know that my face is back to normal after the horrible reaction I had to the mosquito bites.”
He then joked: “They saw my face and thought it was all you can eat.”
Pete provided the support he needed after girlfriend Zara McDermott stayed at home ahead of preparations for the Strictly Come Dancing grand final.
Reflecting on his win, Sam told Ant and Dec after the crowning moment: “Oh my God. I’m really stoked.
“I didn’t think I would even be invited to the show. I don’t know what to say.
“Oh my God. I’m so grateful, thank you so much. I’ve dreamed of doing this show for years and years.
“You made a boy’s dream come true. Thank you.”
