PGA Masters Champion Mike Weir Marries Bachelor Alum Michelle Money in Hawaii: See the Photos! (Exclusive)

The Canadian pro golfer and ‘Bachelor’ grad tied the knot in a “dream” wedding ceremony in Hawaii on Nov. 19.

PGA Tour golfer, 53, i Bachelor The alum, 43, tied the knot in an oceanfront wedding ceremony in Hawaii on Nov. 19.

“I’m so excited to look Mike in the eye in front of our girls and commit to him for time and eternity,” Money told PEOPLE ahead of the couple’s wedding.

For their special day, the couple wanted to keep the celebration “intimate” with their three daughters Elle, Lili and Brielle officiating the couple’s nuptials, plus Weir’s parents, Money’s mum and their best friends, George and Linnea Roberts.

Festivities the week of the couple’s wedding included a family day of golf at Nenea Golf Club along with scuba diving, hiking during a group stay on the Big Island. Money walked down the aisle to Zac Brown Band’s “Free” in an Ivone gown by Muse Berta. “It’s a bohemian style dress that has all the sexy details I wanted,” she says. “I walked into a wedding dress shop in Salt Lake and found it on sale. I put it on and fell in love!”

‘Bachelor in Paradise’ alum Michelle Money engaged to golfer Mike Weir: ‘Me and you forever!’

The couple first met by chance in 2016. “I was entering a restaurant with my daughter, and he happened to be going out with a group of friends. “I didn’t see him, but apparently he saw me and asked his friends if any of them knew me,” explains Money.

“They happened to know a mutual friend who ended up giving Mike my number. We went on our first date and never looked back! I only found out months later that after he first saw me at that restaurant, he couldn’t stop thinking about me, so he left a friend’s house and drove to the restaurant to try to find me, but I was already gone!”

Marriage wasn’t always in the cards for Weir and Money.

“We spent the first five years of our relationship understanding that we would never get married,” she says. “He was my forever boyfriend and vice versa. After my daughter Brielle had a very bad longboarding accident where she almost lost her life, I started to look at things differently.”

Money’s daughter Brielle was in a coma and spent 26 days in the hospital after suffering a traumatic brain injury in 2020.

“It became so clear to me that Mike was more than just a forever boyfriend to me,” she says. “He was an incredible support to me and Brielle during the most difficult period of my life. He brought us closer in a way I had never experienced, and marriage seemed like a beautiful commitment I wanted to make to him. Now we can’t believe we were thinking about not getting married. He is truly the love of my life!”

Weir popped the question to Money in January during a trip to New Zealand. “We took a helicopter to the top of the glacier where there was the most incredible glacial lake. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him there on the glacier. It was amazing.”

During the ceremony, the duo exchanged handwritten vows before celebrating with their family and friends over a dinner of burrata caprese with truffles, bolognese, grilled fresh fish, Tuscan steak and roasted vegetables.

As a sweet addition, they cut two wedding cakes, made of carrot and chocolate, made by the couple’s daughter Lili and their friend Linnea. “Our two favorite bakeries!” adds Novac.

Now, as the newlyweds enjoy every moment of wedded bliss, Money says the day was simply a “dream come true.”
