Phish Announce 2024 Residency at Las Vegas Sphere: ‘Thrilled to Present This Completely Unique Experience’

Phish is going to Las Vegas.

On Thursday, the rock band announced a four-night residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas planned for 2024, promising a “completely unique experience” at the 18,600-capacity venue, which opened earlier this year and has so far only been headlined by U2.

“From the moment we first heard about Sphere and its potential, we’ve been thinking of ways to bring our show to this breathtaking screen,” Phish guitarist and singer Trey Anastasio said in a statement. “We are thrilled to present this completely unique experience to Phish fans.”

According to a press release, the band won’t play additional dates at the Sphere in 2024 — but the four-night residency will “mark the beginning of a new relationship” for Phish and the venue.

Known for their improvisational performance style, Phish’s shows at the Sphere will be especially exciting for fans, as the band plans to perform completely different set lists each night accompanied by new visuals. Their latest album, Get More Downwas published in 2022.

The Sphere was lit up for the first time on the 4th of July weekend, with an American flag and fireworks display. Since then, the outer dome has transformed into a realistic eyeball, basketball, moon, earth and pumpkin, among other objects.
