Phoebe Bridgers was born as Phoebe Lucille Bridgers (2021) on Wednesday, August 17, 1994 in Orange County, California. Her zodiac sign is Leo.

Although her father tried to get her to learn piano, Phoebe preferred guitar. In an interview, she said,

I hate being forced to do something. Reading sheet music is like doing math homework… The guitar is my rebellion.”

Later, she started playing guitar at the age of ten after her father taught her some chords. When she was in sixth grade at Secoyah School in Pasadena, Bridgers formed her first band. At school, she often participated in various talent shows and assemblies. Her love for music was sparked by her mother, Jamie, who took Phoebe to various concerts since she was a child. She also enrolled Phoebe in music classes at the Claremont Folk Music Center. In 2009, Bridgers enrolled in the music program at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). Later, at the age of 15, Bridgers joined the female punk rock band Sloppy Jane, led by artist Haley Dahl.

Affair/Boyfriend

Phoebe Bridgers belongs to the LGBTQ community because she is bisexual. In an interview, she said,

TMI I lost my virginity in high school and I wasn’t allowed to sext or invite boys or girls. I wasn’t allowed to have girls sleep in my bed because my parents knew I was bi. I felt a weird sense of shame about it.”

One day, while performing with Sloppy Jane, she was discovered by a talent scout and landed a series of roles in ads for Taco Bell, HomeGoods, Apple and Intuit. She appeared in a 2014 iPhone ad, singing a cover of the Pixies song “Gigantic”. At 15, she opened for American pop singer Peter Case at the Coffee Gallery at a Scott Gates concert.

The album also included the song “Kyoto”, which was later nominated for the Grammy Awards (2021) for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.
