Photography. Volunteers have located and rescued a missing dog that fell off a cliff, reuniting it with its owner!!

It’s heartbreaking when a dog goes missing, especially when it’s lost in the wild. It’s hard to know where to start looking, and you’re wondering if your loved one is safe and alive.

But in situations like these, it’s nice to know that ρeoρle is there for you and will help you through. That was the case recently, after volunteers helped locate a dog that had fallen off a cliff.

Saryta Schaerer has been devastated after her dog, a mastiff retriever named Luna, went missing in the Ηighlands area of Vancouver Island, according to CTV Νews.

Saryta and her family searched everywhere but days passed without a trace of the dog. They start to fear the worst.

“It was horrible because it was getting cold and she was always sleeping next to me or my daughter,” Saryta told CTV.

But a week after Luna disappeared, they had a positive sign. Local resident Ron Cheeκe heard the dog squeal and used a pot and wound to track the sound to the dog’s location.

“Every time I hit the pot and chase the dog away,” says Cheeκe.

This led to a group of volunteers looking for Luna, who was found clinging to a narrow cliff. The dog apparently fell off a cliff and managed to hold onto the narrow landing for a week.

Luckily, her ordeal was finally over as the team used the harness to get her back to safety. Before long, Luna was overjoyed to be reunited with her family.

“I’m excited and so is she,” Saryta told CTV. “Her ball turns left and right.”

All this thanks to the kindness of strangers who are willing to do their best to help a dog in need. Cheeκe says his dog died last year, so he was overjoyed to be able to reunite with Luna’s family.

“There is no feeling at all. “When you get into this and get the employer back to work, it’s worth all the money in the world,” said volunteer Andy Carswell. “Your dog is there, it’s only a matter of time before we catch him.”
