More than 500 players will be auctioned this year. After the Asian Games, Mashal Sports will organize the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Auction on October 9 and 10. However, it was previously announced that the auction ceremony will take place on September 8 and 9. Why was it delayed? Reportedly, the auction has been postponed by a month following the request of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India in view of the Indian Kabaddi team’s preparations for the upcoming Asian Games which will begin later in September. In order for the Indian Kabaddi team to prepare for the Asian Games, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India has asked Mashal Sports to postpone the auction of the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League. Mr. Anupam Goswami is the Commissioner of Pro Kabaddi League. Goswami announced, “We are pleased to announce that the player auction for the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League will now take place immediately after the Asian Games. We are sure there will be a lot of excitement and fan interest for the blockbuster Player Auction, where several stars from the Asian Games will attract competitive bids from PKL teams”.

According to reports, the Indian and foreign players will be divided into four categories, A, B, C and D, for the PKL auction season 10. Furthermore, the players will be divided into sub-categories such as Defenders, Raiders and All-Rounders. The base price for players is also explained. Category A players will have a base price of Rs 30 lakh, Rs 20 lakh for category B players, Rs 13 lakh for category C, and so on Rs 9 lakh for category D. Each team has a purse of Rs 5 crore.
