Couple Saturday night live The cast was greeted by unexpected guests ahead of the premiere of the 50th season.
Ben Marshall — who makes up one third of Please Don’t Destroy, along with Martin Herlihy and John Higgins — posted an Instagram video on Monday, September 23, showing off his new collaborators: a flock of pigeons.
Marshall, 29, began the video walking through 30 Rockefeller Plaza, telling the camera, “I’m excited for a great season. I feel very good.”
The video then cuts to a close-up of a pigeon sitting on one of the office chairs, with Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life” playing in the background. He shared multiple clips of several pigeons in their office perched on couches, tables and chairs.

In another clip, Higgins, 28, mimed throwing something to send the birds flying through the office window, but they just flew around the office. Higgins shouted: “Oh my God! Oh s—!” Meanwhile, Marshall calmly said, “Fly. Get out.” Higgins closed the door, laughing at the situation.
Then they anxiously opened the door again and asked each other if the birds were gone. With only a second of relief, Higgins saw the birds on their clothing rack.
The two then called for backup, and security came to help. When Higgins was asked if he should close the office door to keep the birds from escaping, the security guard replied, “You’re going to leave me here with them?”

Marshall shared a series of messages he received from colleagues SNL writers in the group chat, including one from co-host Michael Che. “You hit a witch with your car?” wrote Che.
Marshall also shared a direct message from another person that read: “That’s a good sign. An even number of birds is good. It’s strangely bad.”
He then added a screenshot of an internet search for what it means when pigeons reach space, finding a source that declares it a “feeling of luck and happiness”.
He surrounded it by writing on a black background: “We look forward to a bountiful harvest.”

The video ended with Higgins and a security guard assessing the damage after the birds finally escaped.
“Oh yeah, they’re… on the sofa,” said the security guard.
“Yeah, they’re all over the place,” Higgins said before a security guard said the birds “were nervous.”
