The search for the man accused of murdering his mother has begun The Sandlot actor Marty York.
The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that Deanna Esmaeel, York’s mother, was found dead in her home Thursday morning.
At the age of 5, she watched her sister being kidnapped. 6 decades later, will her memory help catch the killer?
While the department said they could not release additional details because the homicide investigation is ongoing, they said Esmaeela’s boyfriend, Daniel James Walter, also known as Edward Patrick Davies, 54, is a suspect in the case.

They reported that the Honorable Judge Darren McElfresh signed a warrant for his arrest and included a wanted poster with a social media post to help locate him. According to their release, although authorities were able to locate Walter’s vehicle on Friday, he remains at large.
The poster says Walter is 180cm tall and was last seen in Crescent City, California, where he left on foot wearing a white jacket, blue jeans and a beret-style hat. York, 43, asked his followers to contact the authorities immediately if they spot Walter in the candid Instagram post.

“She believes that the culmination of her life experience has prepared her to serve well as a deputy,” it continues. “She said, ‘It’s time for me to take everything I’ve learned in life and help other people.’ ”
In a statement released in the department’s news release on Esmaeel’s death, Sheriff Scott expressed his condolences to Esmaeel’s family.
