She received her education from Balmohan Vidyamandir School in Mumbai and continued her graduation from SIWS Institute of Science and Commerce, Mumbai. Pooja has been good at acting and dancing since she was a child, and won various dance competitions in college. She was also a volleyball player in college. In 2009, she participated in the Maharashtra Times Sharavan Queen Competition and won the title. It was then that she decided to become an actress.

Pooja Sawant belongs to the Maratha Kshatriya family. She is the daughter of Vilas Sawant and Amruta Sawant. She has a sister Ruchira Sawant and a brother Shrey Sawant.
Profession
Pooja Sawant started her acting career in 2010 with Sachit Patil’s “Kshanbhar Vishranti”. She next appeared in the Marathi film “Zhakaas” opposite Ankush Choudhary. The film was a hit. She then starred in the multi-starrer film Satrangi Re. In 2014, Pooja starred in the satirical blockbuster “Poshter Boyz”.
Apart from films, Sawant has also appeared in the Marathi dance reality show “Eka Peksha Ek Jodicha Mamla” and the Hindi dance reality show “Boogie Woogie”. She also hosts the show “Wajale Ki Bara” on Zee Talkies.
In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut in the Bollywood film Jungle, opposite Vidyut Jammwal.
