According to the book, Manoj plays Umesh Joshi, a comedy Hindi newspaper columnist, while Supriya plays Sarla Joshi, a stoic Send the school vice-principal. In one of the photos, two of their children can be seen fighting. Sarah decided to take voluntary retirement to avoid moving her family. The show has been announced to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on May 6, 2022. Talking about the storyline of the show, director Aakanksha Dua said:
Shanti House is a family drama that takes an up-close look at the emotional journey one family goes through while building their dream home. This is a light-hearted, uplifting, humorous drama that will make viewers fall in love with the Josie family and root for them until the last brick is laid. I am very grateful to Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa for the wonderful synergy they brought to the show. Their on-screen chemistry tugs at my heartstrings and I’m sure they will work the same magic on the audience. We have some talented actors, Chakori Dwivedi and Poojan Chabbra play brother Joshi and they make the characters so lovable. Happy Ranajit as a contractor is spot on! In fact, the entire cast of “Home Shanti” feels like an interesting ensemble, and the characters grow on you. Can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction to this emotionally buffering drama. “
