A week after her junior year final exams, she joined the radio station “Fever 104” as an intern. Within a few days of joining, she felt the pressure and workload of the job, but she persisted in the internship for a year. Due to the excessive pressure of the organization, she lost nearly 11 kilograms. She got her first show “Call Centre” as a radio host, but the show did not receive good ratings and ultimately failed.

During her internship, she met many Bollywood celebrities including Hrithik Roshan, Jackie Shroff and Ayushmann Khurrana. Her meeting with Hrithik Roshan was a turning point in her life and she was discovered by Sudeep Lahiri, who came to the radio station where Kohli worked with Hrithik. Sudeep noticed that she was good at making comedy videos and asked Prajakta to start her YouTube channel.

She created her YouTube channel ‘MostlySane’ in February 2015. Her first YouTube video was a monologue titled ‘Five Types of Singles on Valentine’s Day’. In June 2015, her video ‘Funny Words Delhiites Use’ went viral.
Later, she started uploading three videos a week, including “RealTalk Tuesday”, “Comedy video on Thursday” and “SawaalSaturday”. She also uploaded some vlogs on her YouTube channel. In January 2020, she launched the “Pretty Fit” series on her channel, inviting Indian celebrities such as Neha Kakkar, Kareena Kapoor and Sanya Malhotra to participate.

Her YouTube videos are very popular and her channel “MostlySane” has nearly 6 million subscribers. In 2018, she appeared in a TV commercial for “WhatsApp” to stop the spread of fake news through the messaging app.
