At the beginning of his career, Prakash Tuminade acted in supporting roles in Kannada and Tulu cinema. He became a well-known face in the film industry in 2017 when he played the role of Srinivas in the Kannada film Ondu Motteya Kathe.
In 2018, he appeared in the Kannada film Katheyondu Shuruvagide. His performance as Bhujanga in the Kannada film Sarkaari Hiriya Praathamika Shaale, Kaasaragodu, Koduge: Raamanna Rai (2018) was widely appreciated by the audience. In 2020, she played the role of Nara (also known as Narayana) in the Tulu movie “2 Ekre”. His career breakthrough came with his performance as Raampa in the Kannada film Kantara (2022).
Some of his other notable performances in films include playing the role of Ramanath in the Kannada film “Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana” (2021), playing the role of a bank manager in the Kannada film “Kshamisi Nimma Khaatheyalli Hanavilla” (2022) and in the Kannada film Thimayya & Thimayya (2022).

- Tuminad turned down 12 offers from films to participate in the film Kantala. In an interview, he said of his role in the film:
When I saw Rishab sir performing Daiva dance, I felt overwhelmed and felt proud to be a part of this film. “
