She was born on Friday, March 3, 1995, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha (age 27; as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Pisces. She received her education from Venkateswar English Medium School, Bhubaneswar. She joined Ramadevi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar and Bhawan College, West Mumbai for her graduation. She later did her post graduation in Odissi dance form.

From 2011 to 2012, she was in a relationship with Hollywood actor “Arindam Roy”. Later, the couple separated and Arindam got married to ‘Anupa Das’ in 2016. Anupa is the sister of a minister from Odisha. Prakrutri has been dating Ratul Manek for a few years.

She started her acting career at the age of 4. In 2000, she appeared in the Odia film “Hari Bhai Harena” as a child artist. In 2005, she appeared in the ETV Odia drama series “Tulasi”. She made her Hollywood debut in the film Thukul (2012). She acted in more than a dozen Odia films. She is a judge on two reality shows – Mr and Miss Kalinga (2013) and Raja Queen (2015). In 2014, she participated as a contestant in Zee TV’s show “India’s Best Film Star Ki Khoj”. In 2015, she made her acting debut in the Bollywood film “Kaun Kitne Paani Mein”. In 2017, she starred in the Odia film Hello Arshi, and her performance in the film was appreciated by critics and audiences.

She has appeared in various Odia and Hindi music videos. Some of her famous Odia and Hindi television series include Trideviyaan (2016), Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki (2017) and Bitti Business Wali (2018). In 2019, she participated in the MTV reality show “Ace of Space 2” as a contestant.

Beaten by co-star’s wife
In July 2022, Prakruti Mishra hit the headlines after a video went viral in which she was beaten by the wife of her co-star Babushaan Mohanty. The actress was reportedly attacked because Mohanty’s wife believed the two were having an affair. Later, Prakruti expressed her views on Instagram and wrote:
There are two sides to every story. Unfortunately, we live in a society where people blame women before listening for anything. My partner Babushaan and I were heading to Chennai to attend an event organized by Utkal Association. During this time, Babushaan’s wife and some goons started questioning the actor and attacked me physically and mentally. “
Babushaan Mohanty also clarified through a video statement in which he said:
All of you must have enjoyed watching my viral videos. But, I want to tell you that I came to Chennai to attend the Utkal Divas celebrations and Prakutri Mishra was also invited to this event. I am here to promote my film in which Prakruti stars opposite me and we are also planning to announce a new film. I had no idea my family was going through turmoil. If my family had a problem with that, I wouldn’t have done that movie with her. I will not work with any heroine again if need be. ”
