Pramod Shetty started his acting career in theater productions while in college. He made his Kannada debut in 2010 in a supporting role in the Kannada film Jugaari. The actor gained recognition in the film industry after playing the role of Dinesha in the Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandante (2014).

Pramod Shetty is the co-producer of the Kannada film Katha Sangama (2019) and has a supporting role in the film. In 2020, the actor made his debut in a lead role in the Kannada film Ondu Shikariya Kathe.

I learned to drive when I was eight; my first mentor was a driver named Paddu. When I was in class 10, my family would ask me to drive them from Mangaluru to Kundapura. ”
- The actor considers working in the Kannada film Avan Srimannarayana (2019) as his dream come true as the film is dubbed in different languages. Speaking about this in an interview, he said,
I did get offers for Tamil and Telugu films but I had to pass on them due to date issues. Today I have no regrets about it as I am working on an ambitious project that will be released in all South Indian languages as well as Hindi. ”
