In 2001, he started working as a direct sales agent in Bangalore. In 2002, he joined Reliance Infocomm as a DSA-CDMA and worked there for almost 6 years. He then worked in the sales and marketing department of Reliance World and later, he worked in the business development department of Reliance World. In 2009, he joined the real estate agency “Mars Realty” as one of the partners. He also owns a real estate company “VIP Square”. He has worked as a media manager for South Indian actor Arjun Sarja. Apart from this, he has also worked as a brand builder and advertising technician in several films. - In 2018, South Indian actress Sruthi Hariharan filed two complaints with the police in Bengaluru, alleging that Prashanth Sambargi threatened to kill her.
- In 2020, the Central Crime Investigation Branch in Bengaluru issued a notice to him for investigating his involvement in drug crimes in the Kannada film industry. In the statement, Prashant claimed that South Indian actress Sanjana Galani (involved in drug case) and Congress MP Ahmed Khan were very familiar with each other and met in a casino on June 8, 2019. Ahmed denied all such rumors and sued Prashant for spreading such rumors.

- In 2014, he wrote a petition to his son’s school, asking for a ban on the use of brown paper to wrap books, as it would harm the environment in the long run.
Children need to be taught the importance of protecting the environment. The teachers at my son’s school are doing a great job and Aditya doesn’t even make paper rockets for fun. By creating awareness, we can eliminate this practice from our system for a better tomorrow.”
