Prashanthini is an Indian playback singer who sings mainly in the Tamil film industry. She is the daughter of singer Malaysian Vasudevan and the sister of singer Yurgendran Vasudevan.

Her father, Malaysia Vasudevan, a famous Malaysian-born Tamil playback singer and actor, passed away on February 20, 2011. Her mother’s name is Usha. She has a sister named Pavithra and a brother named Yugendran Vasudevan, who is an Indian-Singaporean actor, singer, host and music director. In 2023, Yugendran participated in the Tamil version of the reality show “Bigg Boss” Season 7, which aired on Star Vijay and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

Several of her songs have reached the top 20 pop songs on FM radio charts, including “Ayyayo” from the Tamil film Aadukalam (2011), “Lolita” and “Enamo Aedho” from the Tamil film Engeyum Kaadhal (2011) ” is taken from the Tamil film Ko (2011). After completing my BSc in Computer Science, I got married, 12B and after seven years, my next song was Veyil (Iraivanai…) by GV Prakash. From then on, I never looked back to work with Yuvan Shankar Raja. It was Harris Jayaraj’s Mundhinam Partheney in Vaaranam Aayiram that gave me a new life. “
